The Restaurant

Good taste extends naturally to your surroundings. Stylish, warm and welcoming, the restaurant is a wonderful, light-filled space, with natural woods and handcrafted textiles, and of course panoramic windows to make the most of those precious views.
With the emphasis on relaxation, there is nothing formal about our restaurants, or out dress code. Smart casual works for us and more importantly for you. Wear what you love, sit where you want and eat what you like. It’s all about choice.

The best food calls for the best wines, and Viking’s generosity of spirit extends naturally into our restaurants, with complimentary wines served with lunch and dinner. A beautiful Bordeaux. Perfect Pinot Grigio. Magnificent Merlot. Vintage Viking.

Aquavit Terrace

Revolutionary in concept and design, the Aquavit Terrace offers the most al fresco dining on Europe’s rivers. Get to know new friends over breakfast and lunch as you watch Europe’s picturesque riverscapes unfold before you in this relaxing, inviting space.

Viking Bar

Linger over melodic tunes while sipping a classic martini or vintage Armagnac in Torshavn, a lively music venue reminiscent of romantic jazz lounges of 1940s Hollywood.

The Lounge

With panoramic windows for maximum views, the Lounge is inspired by epic journeys of discovery. This inviting space is the perfect place to share a cocktail with friends or relax while taking in the scenery.

Onboard Boutique

Located on the main deck, the boutique is a perfect stop to pick up that special something for someone or a place for our guests to pick up a memorabilia for themselves!

Shore Excursions

Our shore excursions are created to show you not just the destination, but its people and their culture. With expert guides who are both entertaining and illuminating, you’ll enjoy insightful experiences and authentic encounters that add immeasurable pleasure to your journey. Whether you’re wandering through UNESCO listed castle on the Rhine or a traditional Brewhouse in Cologne, picking grapes in a vineyard in Bordeaux or chatting with a family in their home in a rural Russian town, you can see, hear, taste and touch the world, in all its glory.

Learn the story behind our onboard libraries, specially curated by London bookshop Heywood Hill to enrich and enhance your experience both at your destination and on the ship. You also have free use of the laptops in the library.

Onboard Talks & Lectures

As part of our onboard cultural enrichment program and commitment to destination-focused learning, our Viking Resident Historian faculty provides guests with lectures and roundtable discussions on the arts, architecture, music and culture of upcoming ports and various aspects of world history.

Cooking Classes

We believe that cooking should be a spirited affair, an adventure meant to be shared. Go shopping with your chef to pick up fresh produce and helpful tips. Join the laughter as you prepare a regional dish with our chef’s guiding you along step-by-step! Savour every moment along the way!

Special Diets

In most cases, we can. Every meal has vegetarian options and our chefs will make reasonable efforts to accommodate special requests. Guests requiring special meals (low salt, diabetic, gluten-free or low cholesterol) should alert us 90 days prior to departure and inform the Maître d’ when on board.
